What Is Being ID?

Not all identities are created equal—and ChainIT treats them that way.

Being ID is a ten-level scoring system that evaluates how strongly a user's identity has been verified, using live data across documents, biometrics, device signals, government sources, and platform behavior. A Being ID score of 1 reflects the highest level of validation (e.g. government-sourced data + live biometrics), while a score of 10 represents a low-confidence or unverified profile. These scores aren’t static—they adapt automatically based on new verification inputs, time-based decay, or risk signals like flagged behavior, reissued documents, or missing activity.
This identity confidence score powers logic for platform access, payment thresholds, feature gating, and escalation—all governed by ChainIT’s Business Rules Engine.

The 10 Levels of Being ID

Being ID connects to a user’s ChainIT ID and continuously updates a real-time score between 1 (most verified) and 10 (least verified). The score is calculated based on the quality, source, and recency of the user’s identity signals—including biometric verification, document validation, device fingerprinting, geolocation, and behavioral activity.

The system dynamically updates as new data is captured or existing data degrades, and each score level is governed by logic defined in the Business Rules Engine. This score powers enforcement across access controls, transaction limits, content gating, and risk escalation across the ChainIT Platform.
